New to Calvary
We're excited that you've show interest in visiting our church. We just want to share a little information that will make your first trip to Calvary the best that it can be.
Where - Calvary Baptist Church is located at 401 W. Church St. in Grand Prairie, TX. We're located just off of Main St., behind Sonic, in the heart of historical downtown Grand Prairie. For a map and directions, click here.
How Early Should I Arrive? Allow twenty minutes, especially if you're checking children in. If you are not checking in children, 10 minutes prior to our service should be enough time to arrive and find a seat. Our service typically lasts between about an hour and an hour and fifteen minutes.
Parking - A covered drop-off lane, handicap spaces and special Visitor Parking spots are available in the parking lot on the West side of the Sanctuary.
Guest Room - When you arrive, we encourage you to stop by our Guest Room located on the west side of our foyer. Grab a cup of coffee, a bottle of water or a donut and make yourself comfortable as you wait for our service to begin.
Worship Music - You’ll hear many of the newest worship songs that are playing on the radio along with the timeless hymns of the faith. Feel free to sing along and express yourself in worship.
What Should I Wear? There is no dress code at Calvary. Some wear suits, while others wear shorts. The large majority of families wear business casual style clothing to our services. You will not be judged by what you wear when you come to our church.
Sunday School - Sunday School takes place from 9:30am - 10:30am. Visit the Welcome Center located in the foyer of our Sanctuary so that we can help you find the appropriate class for you and your family.
What about my kids? We have a fully staffed nursery with trained workers to take the absolute best care of your children possible. For kids K-5th grade we have Kid City. Kid City is an awesome worship experience designed with your kids in mind. It is specifically aimed to teach children about Jesus Christ and the foundations of our faith.
